This work began with my own body.

With pain, the places I’d abandoned, and all the parts of me I spent years trying to fix.

Minimalist illustration of a beige droplet with a black background.

FOR aLMOST TWENTY YEARS I HAVE WALKED WITH ENDOMETRIOSIS.

AND SAT IN FAR TOO MANY ROOMS WHERE MY BODY WAS TREATED LIKE A PROBLEM TO SOLVE.

But pain became an initiation.

Walking through the fire of it brought me into a relationship with a world inside my pelvis I had been unaware of for most of my life.

My body began teaching me its own language.

That grief could exist in the back of my skull.

That protection could make Its home in my shoulders and chest.

That the fear of having my own opinions and truth could contract in my diaphragm.

and That the rage of being silenced could ignite like fire in my womb.

A woman with long brown hair sitting cross-legged in a lush green forest, with trees and ferns surrounding her and a bouquet of red flowers on the ground in front of her.

Slowly, through devotion, touch, listening, compassion and surrender, I began to understand:

MY BODY WAS NEVER ASKING TO BE CONQUERED.

SHE WAS ALWAYS ASKING TO BE HEARD.

ENDOMETRIOSIS HAS HELPED ME UNDERSTAND THAT THERE’S A WORLD INSIDE OF OUR PELVIS THAT IS COMMUNICATING, AND THAT SO MANY WOMEN HAVE NEVER BEEN TAUGHT HOW TO HEAR IT.

I learned the hard way—the way that couldn't be taught to me by a teacher, but only through lived experience and physical manifestation.

Walking through the fire of pain, alone, became an initiation into a consciousness within the womb that I had been unaware of for most of my life.

The screams of pain from my womb made loud and clear what had been forgotten.

The alchemical potency of the womb.
The all-knowing voice and guide that she is.
The possibility of a life lived in fully expressed pleasure and beauty.

WHAT I CAME TO UNDERSTAND THROUGH MY OWN BODY WAS NOT MINE ALONE.

WOMEN

ARE

REMEMBERING.

MY BODY BECAME MY FIRST TEACHER.

THE DEEPEST RITE OF PASSAGE I’VE EVER EXPERIENCED HAS BEEN IN AND THROUGH MY OWN BODY.

Some initiations can’t be handed down through a textbook or taught by a teacher.Mine happened through my body's screams and silences.

MY BODY TAUGHT ME THAT:

only I know what weaves through me.

The practitioners, therapies and teachings I encountered along the way could guide me into my inner world. They could offer pieces of the puzzle. They could help me understand how to support my system as a whole.

But they could not become the authority of my body.

THAT BELONGED TO ME.

And that understanding has become foundational to the way I now meet other women.

WITHIN FOUR YEARS, I LOST THREE CLOSE FRIENDS, MY ONLY BROTHER, AND MY SOUL-DOG.

Death became a symbol appearing again and again throughout my life.

And somewhere inside all of that loss, I began to understand that Death is rooted in Love.

We grieve because we have loved.

Death taught me surrender.

It taught me transformation.

It taught me about the deaths of all the versions of myself I have been, and the tending required when something new is being born.

Again and again, I have been asked to surrender into death and meet myself in rebirth.

And it changed the way I live.

DEATH HAS BEEN ONE OF MY ELDERS.

I’VE ALWAYS BEEN INTERESTED IN THE PLACE WHERE THEY MEET

MY PATH HAS MOVED THROUGH BOTH THE CLINICAL AND CEREMONIAL.

Through anatomy, physiology, therapeutic touch and nervous system work.

And through prayer, breath, energy, sound, ritual and Spirit.

I don't experience these as opposing worlds.

The body has invited me to understand her through many languages.

The more I learn about the body, the more mysterious she becomes.

A woman with long brown hair holding a bouquet of red roses, wearing a long coat with her background of a forest with blurred trees and greenery.
A woman with long, wavy hair and tattoos on her arms is outdoors, holding a smudge fan and reaching out with her hand towards another person whose hand is extended toward her. The background consists of blurred green trees and foliage.

MY BODY WAS MY FIRST TEACHER. WOMEN BECAME THE NEXT.

BEFORE I EVER PLACED MY HANDS ON ANOTHER WOMAN, MY OWN BODY HAD ALREADY SPENT YEARS TEACHING ME HOW TO LISTEN.

Now, when a woman lies before me, I don't meet a body that needs my answers.

I meet an entire world.

A history.

A nervous system.

A soul.

A body that’s adapted, protected, survived, desired, grieved and remembered in ways neither of us may fully understand yet.

My work is not to become the authority of that world.

It’s to bring my hands, my training, my presence, my intuition and my devotion into relationship with it.

To listen alongside her.

Woman to woman.
Body to body.
In reverence for what only she can know.

YOU ARE THE AUTHORITY.

A woman with long, wavy brown hair and tattoos on her right arm, wearing a pink dress and a pearl necklace, sits with eyes closed and her hand on her cheek, in a forest setting.

“My body made a new friend in Aria's hands and presence.”

WOMEN NEED Non-Performative

PRESENCE.

STEADY, SOLID SUPPORT THAT HOLD ALL OF THEM

(not only the soft and sweet parts)

Women need patience.

To be approached with curiosity and in service to listening.

Space to explore.
Space to feel.
Arms to fall into.

To be seen eye to eye for the fullest expression that exists within them — even the parts they may not yet see.

Women need other women.

This understanding lives at the heart of my one-to-one work,

and in the spaces I create for women to gather.

Two women sitting on a sheepskin rug, facing each other, with a bouquet of red roses between them; one woman with long brown hair wearing a beige embroidered jacket, and the other with dark hair in a braid wearing a white blazer; in a cozy living room with wooden floors, decorated with plants, shelves, and candles.

WOMEN NEED Non-Performative PRESENCE.

STEADY, SOLID SUPPORT THAT HOLDS ALL OF THEM

(not only the soft and sweet parts)

Women need patience.

To be approached with curiosity and in service to listening.

I AM CONTINUALLY HUMBLED BY THE BODY, BY DEATH, BY WOMEN, AND BY HER.

IN BEAUTY.

IN TRUTH.

IN LOVE.
